How to Experience the Power of Sharing.

Should you share what you know & think with others? Of course you should. Doing so will in no way diminish what you have already; in fact, the chances are you will only enrich yourself further.

When you share with the spirit of helping others, you develop & grow yourself — this is the power of sharing. Because then, the universe shares with you. All successful people would admit that chance or luck also played a role.

The universe shares its bounty with you unconditionally. Does it look for gratitude or benefits in return? It has shared with you in the natural spirit of sharing. It has shared to help you. To make you happy. This is how one must share.

By sharing thus, you share as the universe has shared with you. This commonality brings you in the inner circle of the universe. Naturally as an inner circle member your share in the bounty of the universe increases.
Does a candle lose anything by lighting other candles? Apparently, it does. It is no longer the only torch in the neighbourhood. It seems to have lost its exclusivity. But this loss is temporary.

Moreover, this loss is minuscule in comparison to the gain that follows for this candle, by its being a part of a well-lit neighbourhood. Its solitude is now replaced by the camaraderie of torches around it. Its environs are now brightly illuminated. The loneliness is gone & it is time to celebrate. And this candle has the satisfaction of having made all this possible.

Remember, you cannot be truly wealthy till you share your wealth. Neale Donald Walsch, in Conversations with God , says: "A true master is not the one with the most students, but one who creates the most masters. A true leader is not the one with the most followers, but one who creates the most leaders. A true king is not the one with the most subjects, but the one who leads the most to royalty."

In fact, you can't receive without giving. Omanshu Sharma, a naturopath, tells me that you cannot inhale deeply unless you exhale strongly. This isn't just a logic that applies to the process of respiration. It is almost a cosmic cyclical law which governs all our transactions. Wealth creators all over the world know that money grows with circulation. This law governs not only the field of wealth but also that of ideas. This thought finds its echo in Gurjief's words when he says: "Whatever I shared is still mine, the rest I have lost."

The only rider here is that one can't share unless one has. And to have one needs to accumulate. So your accumulation & sharing should form a cycle. Accumulate-share-accumulate-share & so on. Deep expiration will create the necessary space in your being to accommodate the Universe's largesse.

I have heard about a corn farmer in Canada, who won all the quality awards, year after year. Researchers who went to study his methods & to check out what differentiated him from the other contestants were amazed by their findings. They found that he shared all his best practices with his neighbouring farmers.
When asked, why did he do so? He answered, "Because corn is a cross-pollination product. So it is important that the pollen grain coming to me from the neighbouring farms should be of good quality. It is for this reason that I share all my secrets with my neighbours. See how much I benefit."

So share. By sharing your wealth, your uniqueness will not be a casualty, it will, on the contrary, be the biggest beneficiary.

Will Automation make human work obsolete?

Will Automation make human work obsolete? Robots now build cars and power mechanical diggers and other "dumb" jobs. What will surprise you is how quickly "mechanical minds" are making human brain labor less in demand. Still think robots can’t do your job? Automation and robotics will eventually take over most of the tasks, especially the labor expensive ones, as computing gets smarter. Talk of robots making humans obsolete is generally a topic that is still laughed off as science fiction by most, but this video could get you to rethink the future human work. It lays out a compelling case for why almost half of those currently in the work force could struggle to find work once automation takes over in the near future. Unlike "the singularity," in which artificial intelligence takes over the planet in rapid and dramatic fashion, this paints a picture, backed up by statistics and current developments, indicating that the true singularity will occur gradually,...

Develop Your Personal Brand

Having a good professional reputation is an obvious key to success, but many people don't take the time to nurture it. Or they don't know how. I find it helpful to think about a reputation as a personal brand. Developing your own unique brand is considered not a luxury but an essential for future employability and success.  The basis which guides the development of a brand, also applies to individuals as well as to products and organizations.  To get you started on your journey of ongoing individual brand development, contemplate these three concepts, which form a similar acronym:  Dependability A good brand is consistent. With a good brand, there are never any unpleasant surprises. You can count on a brand to help you quickly sort through an unlimited list of options to identify "a sure thing." In the old days, there was a sales adage that went something like this: "Nobody ever got in trouble for purchasing IBM." If you aren't old enough to recall exa...

How do you think & act?

At work & at home, each of us has been & again will be in communication. Our personal communication styles will dictate to a great extent our success in coordinating action & in relationships. It's unfortunate that we usually enter into communication situations without an awareness of our personal styles of communicating. We just do what comes naturally to us (but not necessarily to others.) One thing is certain every communicator anywhere continually THINKS & ACTS. This is where we begin our exploration of communication styles: how we Think & Act? In the Communication Styles , there are two thinking styles, and two acting styles, Acting Style 1: The Stimulators as you might guess, people with this acting style strive to implement new actions quickly & intuitively, without structure. On teams & in meetings, stimulators will speak up to suggest easier ways to accomplish work & will be the first to embrace new approaches to old problems. Because they ...

The Popeye & spinach lesson of management.

The turning point for Popeye the sailor is when he gets his spinach. He guzzles a full can & wallops a large competitor. The turning point for Asterix is when he gets his magic potion. Guru Gobind Singh administered the Amrit to the ordinary to get transformational results: the metaphorical sparrow that could challenge the eagle. It’s the confidence in oneself & the responsibility of a leader to discover & administer this magic potion that transforms an ordinary person into a winner. Research on a particular species of a bee sums up this behaviour. This species is known to jump 36 inches. When placed in a jar of 12 inches, they jump out. However, when a lid is placed on the jar, they struggle & eventually give up. Once the lid is removed, the bees no longer jump 36 inches. They jump only eight inches & remain in the open jar. They have been conditioned. While in the closed jar every time they jumped higher their head hit the lid. Most of us in life live smaller live...

Our endless inventiveness and bottomless desires means that we never get enough, never get enough.

Our endless inventiveness and bottomless desires means that we never get enough, never get enough. There's always new work to do. If you think about it, many of the great inventions of the last 200 years were designed to replace human labor. Tractors were developed to substitute mechanical power for human physical toil. Assembly lines were engineered to replace inconsistent human handiwork with machine perfection. Computers were programmed to swap out error-prone, inconsistent human calculation with digital perfection. These inventions have worked. We no longer dig ditches by hand, pound tools out of wrought iron or do bookkeeping using actual books. What this means for the future of work and the challenges that automation does and does not pose for our society. Despite a century of creating machines to do our work for us, the proportion of adults in the US with a job has consistently gone up for the past 125 years. Why hasn't human labor become redundant and our skills obsolet...
